Adieu, Lieutenant.

It's written a day after my grandpa passed away. I finally posted it days after just because I... had no strength even to proofread and post it.

I love him... and I owe him a lot. And he went away before I finally fulfill his dreams. But, as a grand daughter.. I am so very proud of him. His fighting spirit, his honesty, his warm heart will always remain in me. This post is dedicated to him, my dearest Ompung Raja.

Battle was your life.
And never once you gave up.
Because giving up is not your friend.
Life is.

And when the last battle's over.
It's not you giving your life up.
It's you, being very nice to welcome the next life.

Adieu, Lieutenant.

Love,
Cacha.

Little cousins no more

Now, visiting grandma and grandpa's houses are boring. Because my cousins have gotten bigger and they stop being cute little kids. It's not fun.

I miss the moment when they were little, crawling and babbling around, walking unsteady, laughing and crying in their cute ways. The moment when they were comfortable enough to be clingy to me, when they're not feel embarrassed to receive hugs and kisses from me. I miss their exciting voices calling my name whenever I came to visit them.

It's not that I don't love them anymore. Noooo.. I still am the big sister who loves her little cousins so much. It's just I cannot accept (yet) that they're not babies anymore. Now, those big boys and girls have their own 'teen-ish' world which is hard for me to get in.

I'm done trying so hard to blend with them, because in the end, the joke will be on me, like this one.

I once posted my 'wish' on my multiply site last January. Funny how time really flies and Ali (the number two littlest cousin) really grows too fast! Look the different expression. My little Ali is no longer little!!

Am I the only kid who doesn't grow up?

To express love

I just hugged my little brother and told him how I missed him lately.

That kind of impulsive gesture of affection is actually not my thing. But I don't know, I just had the urge to hug him that moment, hahaha..

Not that I don't love him or everyone around me, no. I love him, I love my whole family, I love my friends and I love my love (heee..). And I love, for instance, when my mom hug me, when my uncle kiss my head like I'm still his favorite little niece, when my dad kiss my forehead on special occasion, when my little sister hold my arm, and when my big brother hug me. I just don't get used to do it to express how I love them, probably because I'm awkward and not the type of a clingy person. But not with my mom. I can hug her and kiss her and always hold her hand whenever we're together.

Anyway, I have this plenty of love and I'm learning to express it better.

"Even bears sleep only for 10 hours, Kak."

This is Ramadhan, the holiest month, and yes, the sleepiest month. I am not good at keeping my biological time during this fasting month. Either I sleep too much, or too little. It gets worst because this year, I am employed. I cannot wake-up at 10 am like I did for 5 years in college, hahaha. So most of my days at the office, I feel very sleepy, especially from 2 to 3 pm.

Weekends (means, Saturday and Sunday night) are the only time I can sleep the whole days. I go to bed quite late (after midnight), wake for sahur, and sleep until noon. On Saturday nights, I spent 12 hours of sleep. Hahhahahahaha...

Just hours ago, I talked about this with Ari, my little brother. He knows I refer myself as a bear that loves to hibernate during this month. But then he said nothing better than this. "Even bears sleep only for 10 hours, Kak."

And I thought that hillarious!

The cow's floating in my coffee and I'm still bored

I spent the whole day at home, recharging and lazying around. It was fun after breakfast, a glass of iced coffee and two sitcoms, but it was no longer fun when everything I did was all between two monitors: TV and computer.

Then I took a looooooong shower and indulged myself with Strawberry Shower Gel. The strawberry-kissed skin I got was quite a mood booster. But as soon as I stepped out of the bathroom, the boredom's back.

After lunch, as an avid coffee drinker as I am, I made another glass of iced coffee. Then I grabbed my camera and took this.

The silly cow's floating in my coffee and I still don't know what else could make this Saturday less boring.

Cheesy Saturday

Although it wasn't as smooth as I wished it would be, but well.. I, I meant, we made it to the festival. It's Kraft Serbu! Serba Kejumooo which was held in Senayan, Jakarta.

This was Kraft's third year and my second times. The event was bigger and noisier and they got more stalls than last year.

Hungry People

I came with Fina, Mba Jen and Sasa (Mba Jen's little sister). I also met up with Heidy and Rara. When the sun was going to set, mom and dad arrived. They took one good lap and bought foods then we went home.

It was a little bit, well.. bored.. and.. uhm.. cheesier than the last time. I don't know why, maybe it's because well.. I lost the excitement. I got my mind distracted, I guess :(

But hey, I still got pictures that I took.

I was starving when I arrived and this cheesy fried cassava was a good remedy
Japanese Pizzas caught my eyes
But then, I chose this goowy humble cireng

Takoyaki :)
Heidy and stuff from Cheese Fountain

Too cheesy to be true
Mom & Dad went hunting
Full, huh, Fin?

And yes, this is my favorite picture. I've been waiting a year for this. Finally, hahahaha...

Say "mooooo"!!

Well.. that's all.

I am hoping for a better Saturday next week, hihihi..

Pala Bungkuk

Three days ago, my mom forced me to gave up the guling (some kind of tube pillow) of mine.I used that guling for years, I even gave it a name. It's Pala Bungkuk. Wonder why? Due to its bended shape, it looked very much alike a hunched back. :D

Wasn't it adorable? Hihi..

I loved it so much but my mom was so worried that thing kept thousands of viruses, bacterias, or even microscopic insects. Did you think that I wasn't aware? Sure I was totally aware of it. But I loved it too much. I could care less about it. Pala Bungkuk was like my secure blanket.

The first nights without it were the weirdest nights. I felt like sleeping on somebody else's bed, with a total stranger, in a strange house.

Sambel over conversation and overdose of fro-yo

It's Sunday and I love Sunday when I have things I love to do. Get that?

So, my old hi-school classmates and I got together on this monthly meet-up, or should I say, arisan. Everyone showed up except Ijha, the one who married with 2 toddlers.

Left to Right: Na, Huma, Elza

Left to Right: Sashe, Ami, Ika

We sat down and ate our spicy lunch at Tekko.

Finished Sambel

We talked about uhmm.. work and life. Sounds boring? No. I got my camera and I asked them nicely to strike their best poses.

The food was okay. I had nasi goreng iga that tasted like home-cooked nasi goreng. Nothing special. The iga was a bit chewy and not really succulent. But I love the sambel. Pretty hot, with a hint taste of sweet and savory.

I need to highlight one interesting drink they got there. It's the kedondong juice. Ika ordered it and I could tell that she's not very satisfied. Well.. it's kedondong anyway, Ika... It supposed to be on a plate of rujak with other fruits and dipped into sambel, not blended and poured into the big glass. You should be more aware with that fact of.. well.. the kedondong! hahahaha...

Big Glass of Darn Juice

Anyway, we're pretty much amused with Elza's expression when she gave a sip of that darn juice.

Wahahahaha...

After a couple of hours, we had frozen yogurt before we finally ended the meet-up.

Paid for Small Got Medium Size + 1 Free Topping = :D

Then, the whole gang (except Abang and Mba Jen) pick me up and off to PIM. Ari bought a new pair of futsal shoes and then we spent half an hour at another fro-yo shop. We're forcing dad to try fro-yo because it's healthy and he needs to eat more healthy food, but it didn't work out very well. He hates fro-yo, enough said. Hahahaha...

Ari with his super sour choice of toppings and quite happy Fina
Super happy Mom and fro-yo hater Dad

Well, even though I didn't bought a cup for myself, I got several spoons of it.

Oh so good too...
Sunday ended with football match with the whole gang at home.

I love this Sunday.

Monday will come soon and I am ready.
